As the World Turns, the first single out from Eskobar’s upcoming album Death in Athens, has its world premiere today.
You can listen to a sample, purchase and download the full song from the Eskobar online shop. You can also watch the video at the website for Aftonbladet, a Swedish newspaper. The video has been created by Eskobar guitarist Frederik Zäll.

Now I can understand why this video took one year to create!! But Frederik: You did an awesome job!! The video is great!!
First I didn’t recognize this is Daniel b/c he looks so different with this short hair!:-)
The song is really different to the older records! I like it that every record has a complete different style but has always those specific Eskobar melodies. Can’t wait for the record!!

Hey guys!!!
Just drop by to check out the new site, well, I like what I saw. The layout is a tad non-descript, but what the heck, I’m here after all for infos about one of my favourite bands, and i must say, I was not disappointed.
The new single and video was great. ‘As the world turns’ is a perfect pop nugget anchored by a strong hook laden melody and some interesting lyrics. As usual Daniel gave a strong vocal performance while Robert and Frederick provided the perfect beats and rhythms for which the vocals can waft upon.
Video was great as well, the overlook look greatly complimented the music. My only gripe was for a usually sartorially stylish band, how come you look like boy-next-door scruffy on this vid. What a letdown!!!
The black cardigan Daniel was wearing does not suit him at all…it makes him look stocky!!! His hairstyle was positively horrid. it makes him look almost like Peter Joback (not that there’s anything wrong with peter in fact i even like his music, but cmon…now!!!. Daniel seems to be holding back on his performance, the dancing part was nice, but ease up a bit Daniel, you look like you were forced to dance. I wasn’t expecting an Ian Curtis epileptic dance movement, but something that is more in time with the rhythm.
Well, other than that everything else is great. Lotsa luck in the coming months, hope, 2008 will be the year when your stars finally get to shine worldwide.

Great song! Sounds absolutely different, but sound as the old Eskobar meanwhile.

Any chance to release it in Brazil? Last releasing here was There’s Only Now!!!

We don’t know yet if the physical album will be released in Brazil, but you will at least be alble to get all the songs in a digital version. :)
